As Davao City prepares for this year's Kadayawan Festival, Kultura is bringing its Kadayawan Crawl to the Main Atrium of SM City Davao. The pop-up invites visitors to experience the region's food, culture, and local craftsmanship through a curated selection of brands, delicacies, and interactive activities.
Inspired by a pub crawl, guests can explore booth after booth featuring regional specialties, locally made products, and pasalubong from across Mindanao.
Celebrating Davao's Cultural Heritage
Kadayawan is an annual thanksgiving festival that honors Davao City's 11 Indigenous tribes while celebrating the region's rich harvest. Reflecting that spirit, Kultura brings together local artisans, food producers, and heritage brands in one venue.
The celebration opens with a performance by Ilathala Performing Arts, featuring traditional Mindanao dances accompanied by live percussion and indigenous instruments.
Local Flavors take Center Stage
Festivalgoers can enjoy daily samplings of local snacks, native treats, and beverages, including chocolates from AURO Chocolate and spirits from Destileria Limtuaco. A complimentary Pinoy-themed photo booth with instant prints will also be available throughout the event.
Davao's cacao industry also takes the spotlight through a special showcase by Malagos Chocolate, highlighting how sustainably grown local cacao is transformed into award-winning tree-to-bar chocolate.
Fashion and Artisan Finds
Beyond food, the pop-up features traditional Barong Tagalog, handwoven resort wear, contemporary Filipiniana, pearl jewelry, home décor, and other locally crafted products that showcase Filipino design and craftsmanship.
Kadayawan Crawl is open until Aug. 18 at the Main Atrium, Ground Floor of SM City Davao, giving both locals and visitors another way to experience the city's culture during the festival.
