1. MOA Sky at SM Mall of Asia: For Active Days and Family Hangouts
Want to mix relaxation with a little activity? MOA Sky brings together leisure, sports, and entertainment in one rooftop destination at SM Mall of Asia. Its features include a FIFA-grade football pitch, the MOA Amphitheatre, MOA Sanctuary, and MOA Paw Park, offering options for sports enthusiasts, families, and pet owners.
With its location above the SM By the Bay area, it also adds another dimension to a day spent around the mall and Manila Bay.
2. Sky Garden at SM North EDSA: For a Refreshing Pause Between Errands
Since opening in 2009, the Sky Garden has provided mallgoers with an elevated green space connecting key sections of SM North EDSA. Its original design featured a curved walkway, tropical plants, water features, and dining spots, creating a place to slow down amid the busy Quezon City surroundings.
The garden is now undergoing an upgrade into an enclosed, air-conditioned space planned to connect with MRT-7, combining greenery with greater convenience for commuters and shoppers once completed.
3. SM Megamall: An Indoor Garden in the Works
A future mall break at SM Megamall could come with a greener setting. As part of its phased redevelopment, the mall is set to introduce an air-conditioned garden on the fifth level of Building A, featuring greenery, natural light, and an indoor-outdoor feel supported by an ETFE roof.
The broader redevelopment is targeted for completion between 2027 and 2029, so the garden is part of a longer-term transformation rather than an already-open attraction.
4. SM Nuvali: A One-Hectare Indoor Garden for the Whole Family
Opening on November 27, 2026, SM Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna, is set to feature a one-hectare air-conditioned indoor garden designed for different kinds of downtime. Plans include children's playgrounds, a paw park, and Sky Pods, alongside restaurants and retail spaces overlooking the garden.
The covered setting is intended to bring nature closer to everyday mall visits while offering families and friends a place to gather regardless of the weather.
Making More Room for Time Together
These spaces reflect a refreshing shift in how people can experience a mall as not just a place to shop, but also as a place to pause, play, and connect. Through its MY SM Green Spaces initiative and ongoing mall developments, SM is incorporating more nature-inspired environments into its destinations, with features and completion timelines varying by location.
With more green spaces becoming part of the mall experience, a day out can be about more than ticking things off a shopping list. Now, it can mean letting the kids play, catching up with friends over a meal, or finding a quiet corner to enjoy a little downtime.
