The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has officially launched its Online Driver’s License Renewal System (ODLRS)—a new feature in the eGovPH app that lets you renew your license anytime, anywhere, straight from your phone. No more waiting in long lines or taking time off just to renew your driver’s license.
Renewing Your License Has Never Been This Easy
“This is a better alternative to going to LTO offices. You save on transportation, avoid the hassle of queuing, and get it done on your own time,” said LTO chief Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II.
To start, download the eGovPH app from the App Store or Google Play. After setting up your account with security verification, just follow these steps:
- * Open the app, tap NGA, then select LTO.
- * Choose Online Driver’s Application > Renew Your Driver’s License.
- * Upload or snap photos of the front and back of your license.
- * Wait 1–3 minutes for the system to verify your card.
- * Review your details and hit Submit.
- * Take a photo of yourself following the on-screen guide.
That’s it—you're on your way to a renewed license!

Get Ready Before You Tap 'Submit'
To avoid delays, Mendoza advises completing a few quick requirements beforehand:
- * Online Medical Exam – Book a telemedicine appointment and finish your checkup via the portal.
- * Driver’s Enhancement Program (DEP) – Complete the 5-hour online refresher course.
- * Online Payment – Choose your preferred payment gateway and settle the renewal fee right in the app.
Once all steps are done, your license is officially renewed—and you’ll get a digital copy instantly on the eGovPH app. It’s fully valid and recognized, just like the physical one.
Digital License Today, Card Tomorrow
Need a physical card? No problem. You can opt for delivery via courier or pick it up from the nearest LTO district office.
“All of these digitalization efforts are designed to make LTO transactions faster, easier, and more accessible to Filipinos everywhere—even overseas,” Mendoza said, echoing President Marcos and Secretary Vince Dizon’s push for smarter public service.
