Pag-IBIG Fund has maintained its record of financial transparency after receiving the Commission on Audit’s (COA) unmodified opinion for the 14th successive year. The recognition reflects the state auditor’s finding that the Home Development Mutual Fund’s financial statements fairly and accurately present its financial position and comply with required accounting standards.

Strong Financial Performance Backs Audit Milestone
Housing Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling and Pag-IBIG CEO Marilene Acosta welcomed the latest audit result, attributing the achievement to the agency’s continued emphasis on integrity, accountability and transparency in public service.
The recognition comes alongside strong financial figures reported by Pag-IBIG. The agency recorded total assets of P1.23 trillion, while member savings collections reached P160.41 billion. Housing loan releases amounted to P140.54 billion, while short-term loan releases reached P94.16 billion.
Pag-IBIG also posted a net income of P65.28 billion before MP2 (Modified Pag-IBIG II) returns and declared P64.34 billion in dividends to its members.
Acosta said the results carry added significance as the agency continues fulfilling its responsibilities to Filipino workers. Pag-IBIG also reaffirmed its support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s flagship expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.
The agency is set to sustain these efforts through 2026 by helping members build their savings, obtain affordable cash loans and pursue homeownership through its housing loan programs.
Governance Linked to Member Support
Aliling, who chairs Pag-IBIG’s board of trustees, said the audit result demonstrates the importance of sound financial management and transparent governance in keeping the agency responsive to its members.
“It also shows that strong governance enables Pag-IBIG Fund to remain financially sound and responsive to the needs of its members, while supporting the President’s directive to make homeownership more accessible to Filipino families through the expanded 4PH,” Aliling added.
COA said the latest milestone places Pag-IBIG among a handful of government entities and government-owned and -controlled corporations that have maintained fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability over the past decade.
An unmodified opinion means the auditor found that the financial statements accurately and fairly reflect the Pag-IBIG’s position, in compliance with the required accounting standards.
For ordinary Filipino workers, sustained financial discipline at Pag-IBIG matters because the institution manages members’ savings and provides access to loans and housing programs. Its continued financial strength and transparency can help reinforce public confidence in programs that support savings, affordable credit and homeownership, while contributing to broader efforts to make housing more accessible to Filipino families.
