Christina Nadin Earns Her Wings as 2nd Filipina on Victoria’s Secret Runway

Christina Nadin’s debut at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show marked another milestone for Filipinas in international fashion, as she became the second Filipina to walk the prestigious runway after Kelsey Merritt. The Filipino-Irish-British model joined the lingerie brand’s latest show in Los Angeles on Oct. 18 (Oct. 19 in the Philippines), adding her name to a short list of Filipinas who have appeared at the globally recognized event.

Nadin stood out in a bright pink bra paired with a metallic silver jacket draped over her shoulders, black flared pants, and statement jewelry. Her look brought a rock-inspired edge to the show, which also featured Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray among its notable guests.

Following a Milestone Set by Kelsey Merritt

Nadin’s appearance builds on the breakthrough made by Merritt in 2018, when the Filipino-American model became the first Filipina to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Nearly eight years later, Nadin’s debut marks another step forward in the visibility of Filipinas in a fashion industry where representation on major international runways remains significant.

Born in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, on March 7, 1995, Nadin has Filipino, Irish, and British roots. Her mother is from Legazpi, Albay, while her father is Irish-British. Having spent part of her childhood in the United Kingdom and her summers in the Philippines, she has maintained ties to her Filipino heritage while building a career across international fashion markets.

A Global Career With Filipino Influences

Nadin has worked with luxury labels including Louis Vuitton, Coach, Off-White, Kenzo, and Armani Beauty. In 2025, she joined the L’Oréal Paris Le Défilé runway during Paris Fashion Week, sharing the event with international personalities such as Kendall Jenner and Pia Wurtzbach.

Her connection to Filipino culture also extends beyond modeling. In 2024, she launched Bahay Kubo, an apparel and hair-accessory brand that draws inspiration from Filipino culture and ’90s aesthetics.

Nadin’s runway debut offers another point of recognition for Filipinos in global fashion, following Merritt’s breakthrough and alongside Gray’s presence at this year’s show. While one appearance cannot change the wider industry on its own, seeing more Filipinas gain access to major international platforms helps broaden public awareness of Filipino talent and the different paths through which the country’s culture and identity are represented abroad.
