The 2024 Condé Nast Traveler's (CNT) Readers' Choice Awards have identified Boracay, Palawan, Cebu & the Visayan Islands, and Siargao as some of Asia's best islands.
Results of the survey, which were released last October 1 and posted on CNT's website, received over 575,000 votes from readers of the premium travel magazine.
Top PH islands among the best
With a score of 91.94, Boracay came in third place and ninth overall. Following in sixth, ninth, and tenth place, respectively, were Palawan, Cebu & the Visayan Islands, and Siargao.
Siargao also appeared on the list, scoring 89.2 and placing 10th.
Prior to this, Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao were listed as the third, sixth, and tenth islands in Asia in CNT's 2023 Top 10. In 2020, CNT selected the Cebu and Visayan Islands the Best Island in Asia.

Unparalleled beauty
Christina Frasco, the secretary of tourism, thanked foreign tourists, pointing out that their support has been essential in making the Philippines a top Asian island destination.
"These accolades reflect not only the unparalleled beauty of our islands but also the rich, diverse experiences they offer, from our confluence of cultural influences to our world-class culinary heritage,” she said.
In order to protect the integrity and beauty of these places, Frasco also advised tourists to engage in responsible tourism.
