The Department of Health (DOH) has officially opened advanced specialty centers at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) in San Fernando, Pampanga. The new trauma, orthopedic, and burn care units aim to make high-quality medical services more accessible to patients in Central Luzon.
State-of-the-Art Surgical Facilities
The newly launched centers feature two dedicated buildings equipped with modern tools for complex procedures. These include:
- * Robotic-assisted surgical systems.
- * Three integrated operating rooms with real-time video consultation.
- * High-tech diagnostic tools such as CT scans, doppler ultrasound, and arthroscopy.
- * 125-bed capacity and specialized critical care units.
The operating rooms are also fitted with hygienic air treatment systems to ensure safety and sterility during surgeries.
Free Basic Services, Upgraded Patient Experience
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa, who led the launch, said the new centers embody the DOH’s commitment to delivering fast, safe, and high-quality healthcare for all Filipinos. Patients will benefit from air-conditioned, well-ventilated rooms and upgraded facilities—while still receiving basic services free of charge, in line with public hospital policies.
