A suspected drug lab in Antipolo, Rizal, was raided by authorities, where a man was arrested during a joint operation carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Rizal Provincial Intelligence Team.

Inside the compound, operatives uncovered what appeared to be a clandestine drug laboratory, along with various equipment and chemicals suspected of being used in producing illegal drugs.

The Bust

Around 300 grams of suspected shabu were recovered from the site. Investigators are now searching for two other individuals believed to be connected to the operation, while the arrested suspect has chosen not to issue a statement.

In a separate incident in Imus, Cavite, police caught another man after he reportedly delivered illegal drugs. Officers seized suspected shabu worth about P1.7 million, along with the suspect’s bag and motorcycle for inspection. This individual admitted to the offense and is now facing criminal charges.

An Endless War Against Illegal Drugs

Drug laboratories in the Philippines are often hidden in homes, warehouses, or secluded properties, where operators store the chemicals, tools, and machinery needed to manufacture substances like shabu.

These makeshift labs pose serious risks, ranging from toxic fumes to potential explosions, prompting authorities to immediately shut them down, secure all materials, and apprehend anyone involved once they are discovered.
