Megaworld Corp. has secured a standout position in the Philippines’ corporate landscape after being named the only real estate developer included in the “Best Workplaces in the Philippines 2026” list. The recognition, conferred by global authority Great Place To Work, highlights the company’s strong workplace culture and places it among just 55 organizations recognized nationwide.

Trust-Driven Culture Sets Benchmark
The distinction was announced during the Great Place To Work Philippines Awards, where companies were evaluated based on employee trust and overall workplace experience. For Megaworld, the achievement underscores its continued focus on building a people-centered organization alongside its large-scale developments across the country.
“We are honored by this recognition, but even more so by the trust our people place in us every day,” said Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso, president and CEO of Megaworld. “Our vision has always been to uplift lives, impact society, and help shape the nation, and it is our people who help us bring it into reality as we build sustainable communities.”
The rankings were based on the Trust Index survey, which measures employee sentiment across three core areas: relationships with management, relationships with colleagues, and overall satisfaction with their roles. The final score reflects how many employees consider their workplace to be a positive and supportive environment.
“The Philippines has always had an extraordinary relationship with people,” said Charles Plumley, general manager of Great Place to Work Philippines. “The organizations we recognize are proving that when trust is placed at the heart of a workplace, Filipino talent doesn’t just thrive, it can lead. These organizations are setting the benchmark.”
Megaworld’s inclusion in the 2026 list adds to a growing portfolio of international recognitions. The company entered 2026 as one of TIME Magazine’s “Best Companies in Asia-Pacific” for the second consecutive year. In 2025, it also stood out as the only Philippine developer included in the inaugural Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For.
Sustained Recognition and Industry Impact
Further reinforcing its strong performance, Megaworld climbed to 42nd place in the Philippines’ Best Employers 2026 ranking by Statista during the final quarter of 2025. Its parent firm, Alliance Global Group, Inc., likewise improved its position, moving up to 227th place from 245th in 2024.
These milestones reflect a broader strategy that prioritizes employee well-being, organizational trust, and long-term sustainability, factors that increasingly define competitive companies in today’s evolving workforce landscape.
For many Filipinos, this recognition goes beyond corporate prestige. It signals the growing importance of healthy work environments in the country, where employee welfare, job satisfaction, and career growth are becoming central to national development. As more companies follow similar standards, workers across industries stand to benefit from better opportunities, improved workplace conditions, and a stronger, more resilient economy.
