Infrastructure developer Megawide Construction Corp. posted a strong start to 2026 after reporting a 26-percent increase in net income for the first quarter.

The company said its earnings grew to P265 million from P210 million during the same period last year, driven by higher revenues across its construction and infrastructure businesses. Consolidated revenues also climbed as several major projects continued to move forward during the quarter.

Construction and Infrastructure Projects Boost Performance

According to the company, its construction segment posted solid growth, supported by ongoing developments such as the Malolos-Clark Railway project and other infrastructure works. The company has continued to benefit from increased activity in both public and private sector projects.

Megawide is one of the country’s leading infrastructure and engineering companies, known for handling large-scale transport, airport, and construction projects across the Philippines such as the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PITX. Over the years, the company has expanded beyond traditional construction into engineering, real estate, and public infrastructure partnerships.

Founded by engineers Edgar Saavedra and Michael Cosiquien, Megawide has grown into one of the Philippines’ most recognizable builders, taking part in several flagship infrastructure developments nationwide.
