A new set of international brands is coming to Ayala Malls in Makati and BGC, covering fashion, perfume, food and coffee. Ayala Malls announced the lineup on Oct. 21 for Greenbelt, Glorietta and One Ayala. It did not give opening dates.
Fashion
Leading the list is Musinsa Standard, the in-house label of Korean fashion platform Musinsa. Ayala Malls calls it the brand's first Southeast Asian store. An earlier brand announcement described it as Musinsa Standard's first Philippine store, opening in November. Both descriptions may be true, but we could not confirm the "first in Southeast Asia" claim independently.
Joining Musinsa Standard are Swiss performance sportswear brand ON, American workwear label Carhartt and Seoul fashion brand EMIS.
Perfume
Greenbelt will host a cluster of niche perfume houses: Byredo, Penhaligon's, Creed, Kilian, Acqua di Parma and Matiere Premiere. Seoul's Born to Stand Out is set for Glorietta.
Food and Coffee
The food list includes The Pig & Palm, the Cebu restaurant by British chef Jason Atherton, and Sobamae Yamato, a Japanese soba shop. London's Bread Ahead, the Borough Market bakery known for sourdough and doughnuts, is also coming to Makati. Spain's smooy will sell frozen yogurt and ice cream.
For coffee, Sydney-born Ten Thousand Coffee and Seoul's Super Matcha are on the list.
"We're bringing in brands that people have been curious about, talking about and looking forward to experiencing," said Mae Dichupa, Ayala Malls' portfolio head for Makati and BGC.
When
Ayala Malls said the brands are arriving "soon" but gave no dates or exact store locations within each mall. Musinsa Standard's own announcement points to November. We will update this list as the stores confirm their openings.
