SM Supermalls has announced new operating hours for its malls nationwide following the declaration of a National Energy Emergency by President Ferdinand Marcos last Tuesday. Starting Monday, March 30, all SM Supermalls across the Philippines will now open at 11:00 AM from Monday to Friday.
This adjusted schedule aims to help manage energy consumption while continuing to serve shoppers safely and conveniently.
Nationwide Mall Operation Adjustment
Most SM malls will maintain regular operating hours from March 30 to April 1 to accommodate essential shopping, dining, and leisure needs. During the Lenten Season some locations will adjust their schedules in observance of Holy Week with certain malls closing on April 2 and April 3. Regular hours will resume on April 4 and April 5.
"SM is proactively adapting to the current situation by adjusting our operating hours. We remain committed to delivering elevated retail experiences for all Filipinos, supported by our increased use of renewable energy to power our malls," said Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls.
