The Philippines has once again made waves in the global travel scene as three of its most iconic destinations—Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao—have been named among the Top Islands in Asia by luxury travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler (CNT) in its 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Boracay secured the 4th spot, followed by Palawan at 5th, and Siargao at 7th, based on thousands of votes cast by CNT readers in the United Kingdom. The results, released on October 7, placed these Philippine gems alongside world-renowned destinations such as Phú Qu?c in Vietnam and Phuket in Thailand.

This latest recognition reaffirms the country’s place among the world’s premier tropical getaways thanks to its pristine beaches, stunning natural landscapes, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality.

Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao: A Trio of Island Treasures

Boracay, scoring 90.54, continues to captivate travelers with its powdery white sands, vibrant nightlife, and crystal-clear waters. Its consistent appearance in global travel rankings underscores its enduring appeal.

Palawan, earning 90.23 points, edged out Bali, Indonesia (89.84), a feat that highlights its breathtaking lagoons, limestone cliffs, and untouched beauty. Often dubbed the “Last Frontier,” Palawan remains a bucket-list favorite for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Siargao, with 85.49 points, also made an impressive mark. Known as the country’s surfing capital, the island’s laid-back vibe, scenic surf spots, and tight-knit community of locals and travelers have helped it rise as one of Asia’s must-visit destinations.

A Win for Filipino Tourism and Pride

The Department of Tourism (DOT) welcomed the recognition, calling it a reflection of the Filipinos’ dedication to showcasing the country’s beauty to the world. The inclusion of three islands in the top 10 is seen as a testament to the resilience and passion of the tourism sector.

As the world’s travelers rediscover Asia’s tropical escapes, these islands remind everyone that paradise is much closer than they think—right here in the Philippines.
