After a decade-long wait, Filipino fans finally have something monumental to celebrate. Global K-pop sensation BTS is officially returning to Manila for their world tour, with concerts set on March 13 and 14, 2027. The announcement was made by BigHit Music through the group’s official social media channels, instantly sending PH ARMYs into an emotional frenzy.
The Manila concerts mark BTS’s first group appearance in the Philippines in 10 years, making it one of the most anticipated tour stops in the region.
A Long-Awaited Return to the PH Stage
The last time BTS performed in the Philippines as a complete seven-member group was during their “Wings” tour in May 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Since then, Filipino fans have consistently hoped—and waited—for the group’s return. While J-Hope thrilled fans with his two-day “Hope on the Stage” concert in April 2025, many ARMYs longed to see all seven members together once more.
The upcoming Manila shows are part of a massive world tour that will kick off in April 2026 at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi, South Korea. BTS will also visit major cities across Japan, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Brazil, Taiwan, and Thailand, among others.
New Album Signals a New Chapter
Fueling the excitement further is the group’s upcoming fifth studio album, scheduled for release in March. According to BigHit Music, the album features 14 tracks that hold “special meaning” for the members, as it marks their first album release in three years and nine months and signals the direction of their next chapter as a group.
“We are excited to share details about the release of BTS The 5th Album and the start of their world tour,” the agency said, highlighting the project’s importance in the group’s evolution.
Fans Celebrate PH Back on the Map
The announcement quickly sparked emotional reactions online. On X (formerly Twitter), keywords such as “Manila,” “Philippines,” “NAIIYAK AKO,” and “UY PILIPINS” trended nationwide as fans shared tears, disbelief, and excitement.
Debuting in 2013 with “No More Dream,” BTS—composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—has become the biggest K-pop group in history. For PH ARMYs, their return to Manila is more than a concert; it’s a moment ten years in the making.
